I always wanted to have a lighter skin tone. Before using Kojie San Lightening Soap, I tried L-Glutathione soap which worked for me quite well. But since L-Glutathione soap was a bit pricey for a soap, I looked for a cheaper alternative that promises an effective whitening or lightening result. So I went to the nearest drugstore and found out about Kojie San Lightening soap.
There were lots of Kojic Acid soaps available back then. They come in generic or branded in neat packaging. So not to compromise the quality, I bought the branded one which is carried by Kojie San.
When I left the Philippines, I had to hoard this soap. I bought 6 bars because I know it’s going to be difficult to find whitening soaps when I get to United States, or if they have, it’s going to be ridiculously expensive.
Bottom Line[rwp-review id=”0″] **Kojie San’s kojic soap contains glycerin, a natural humectant which dissolves easily when combined with water or alcohol. This explains why this soap melts faster than any commercial soap.

How Kojie San Lightening Soap Worked For Me
I absolutely LOVED their formulation before (around 2008-2010). It was potent and smelled really nice, like an orange juice in a bar soap. But they changed their formula since then. The color and smell have changed, like an artificial orange smell. Probably because it became a hype and they had to save for raw materials to produce more soaps.
Before, whenever I use the soap and leave it on my body for 5 minutes, libag or dead skin cells were very visible when I rub my hands on my skin. With the new formula, it became difficult to remove dead skin cells, I had to rub my hands hard on my skin. Nevertheless, this soap still prevents my skin from darkening when exposed under the sun. Kojic soap causes dryness and reduces the amount of melanin, so it is important to moisturize and wear sunscreen with high SPF after use. If you have a sensitive skin, I suggest to try their sample size and do a skin test. Discontinue use if rashes develop.
